is to contribute to
the quality of creative engagement in the Okanagan through publications and events.
Made in the Okanagan helps communities find solutions by helping answer the question "How do we create a 100 mile economy?" By applying innovative specialists Made in the Okanagan helps communities forge unique and productive partnerships. Through our Community Development Program we facilitate new markets and new relationships between artists, design professionals, and farm-direct producers and provide support for civic ventures and entrepreneurial endeavors. We nurture creative thinking within the corporate and government sectors and we encourage consumers in the Okanagan and beyond to support their local economy.
Made in the Okanagan projects have a common thread. We see each program of work as an innovative way of developing, establishing, implementing, and encouraging others to a robust and sustainable future.

Made in the Okanagan Country Roads and Neighborhoods Program
The Made in the Okanagan Country Roads and Neighbourhoods Program is based on a program of mentoring, technical assistance, self-help, and learning from each other and from neighboring communities. Through a step-by-step process rural areas and neighbourhoods will address the assets of their local community, their heritage, resources, and strengths.
Using this model, communities that have traditionally not had resources or seen themselves as advantaged, as well as those that have, can create an opportunity to learn, grow, and teach others about community revitalization.
